Not content to rest on its laurels after the successful launch of its mobile network for last summer's Beijing Games, China Telecom is rolling out Mainland China’s first 3G video streaming services, according to Nokia Siemens Networks, which supplied the service delivery system.

The CDMA EvDO video streaming server engine supports a diversified audio/video format, with quality that Nokia Siemens' says is 50 percent higher than the 2G solutions, enabling high-bandwidth, rich media services including live broadcasts, video on demand and video downloads.
