Bright Systems, a provider of file server and media sharing technology for the digital film industry, has announced that Valkieser Capital Images, a visual effects company based in Amsterdam, has installed a BrightDrive media sharing system for its post-production facilities.
The new system allows Valkieser to streamline its effects and finishing workflows, maximizing throughout for commercials, episodes and feature films. The BrightDrive system provides two streams of real-time 2K video, enabling operators to share media between two Digital Vision Film Masters, a Film Cutter and a Quantel iQ.
BrightDrive delivers digital media at speeds greater than real-time between all post-production and DI workflows irrespective of the mix of operating systems in use. Concurrent users are able to work on the same digital files simultaneously without the need to copy files from one workstation to another. Real-time capture and playback is provided and users can master and deliver in any format.
