The Leader LV58SER04 multistandard MPEG decoder can display a variety of signal attributes, which can be viewed individually or simultaneously.
Leader Electronics has introduced a new decoder module for its LV5800 modular multimonitor platform that allows MPEG-2 compressed DVB-ASI signals to be decoded and displayed as a video waveform, video vector or monitor image.
With the new option, the LV5800 can decode HD 1080i and 720p signals at 50Hz, 59.94Hz and 60Hz as well as SD at 480i/59.94 and 576i/50. It can also display transport stream bit rate, ETSI ETR-290-compatible errors, program information, program association table and program map table.
When operated in conjunction with Leader’s LV58SER40 digital audio module, the new decoder module allows MPEG-2 ACC, Dolby Digital (AC3) and MPEG-1 audio extraction and channel monitoring with signal level and lissajous waveform display.
The LV5800 platform enables up to eight SD-SDI or HD-SDI sources to be monitored and up to four channels to be displayed simultaneously for level, rise time, fall time and jitter. Signal feeds can be monitored autonomously, producing an error log with alarm whenever operator-definable thresholds are violated.
The LV5800 platform and the new decoder module are available from elQuip BV (www.elquip.com), the broadcast master distributor for Leader Electronics in Europe.
