Triveni Digital CTO sheds light on mobile DTV, monitoring

Rich Chernock, chief technology officer of Triveni Digital, will address the IEEE Broadcast Technology Society Oct. 21 at Concordia University in Montreal.
Rich Chernock, chief technology officer of Triveni Digital, will be the IEEE Distinguished Lecturer at the organization’s Broadcast Technology Society meeting at Concordia University in Montreal later this month.
The topic is DTV — specifically, mobile DTV and digital television monitoring. Chernock plans to examine cost-effective approaches to setting up mobile DTV service, as well as strategies for efficient monitoring of DTV signals.
In this podcast, Chernock discusses the anticipated adoption by ATSC members of the mobile DTV standard, why DTV monitoring is so important and how the upcoming IEEE event came about.
